Bill Ackman on CNBC Talking JC Penney and CP

by alexg on January 25, 2012

JC Penney is getting a lot of media attention as it holds its analyst meeting. Considering JC Penney (JCP) is 17% of Bill Ackman’s Pershing Square Portfolio, CNBC could not resist asking about the coming changes at JC Penney such as its new logo, CEO Rob Johnson. On the changes :

” The company is continuously improving but I think your going to see a dramatic change in the next few months”

At the same time, Ackman talked a bit of his stake in Canadian Pacific Railway (CP):

  • CP Rail is the worst performing railroad over the past 10 years
  • Believe that the company needs a change in culture and needs to be run by a General, not a marketer.
